Friends of KSLM offers free or supported media messaging to qualifying nonprofits. Awards are based on public, written criteria and reviewed by an independent Board of Directors.

Eligibility and selection are written and publicly available.

Mission alignment

Awards focus on charitable and educational outcomes.

Independent review

Reviewed by the Friends of KSLM Board or committee.

Public benefit

Programs serve community impact, not private benefit.

Eligibility

Who can apply.

Organizations that align with the following are encouraged to apply.

  • Serves the Willamette Valley
  • Operates for charitable or educational purposes
  • Supports areas such as health, education, housing, food, counseling, youth, families, or civic engagement
  • Can provide basic organization and program information
  • Agrees to public, mission-aligned messaging standards

The Friends of KSLM Board of Directors oversees grant awards, program outcomes, and financial stewardship. Programs are designed to serve public charitable and educational outcomes, not private benefit. Media arrangements are documented at fair market value, discounted nonprofit rate, or in-kind contribution where appropriate.
